- Sharmaji Namkeen
This movie is directed by Hitesh Bhatia that stars the late actor Rishi Kapoor. The film marks his last Bollywood movie. Before the film could be finished, Rishi Kapoor passed away. Paresh Rawal filled his role for the remaining scenes of the film. It is about a man who pursues his passion for cooking after retirement.
- Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi
Even though Bauji is no longer alive, his complete family has finally reunited after 13 days. The grieving family soon learns more about themselves and their truth, there is tension, politics, dispute, and much more in the narrative. Vinay Pathak, Vikrant Massey, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vineet Kumar, Manoj Pahwa, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Supriya Pathak, Deepika Amin, and Ninad Kama are the actors featured in the movie.
- Nail polish
Nail Polish is another flick among the list of underappreciated Hindi movies, It stars Arjun Rampal, Manav Kaul, Madhoo, Rajit Kapur, and Anand Tiwari. The story centers on the prosecution of a well-known social crusader who is accused of raping and killing two immigrant children and may have also killed more people.
- Aadhaar
The Suman Ghosh-directed film stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Saurabh Shukla, Raghubir Yadav, Ishtiyak Khan, Sanjay Mishra, and Prithvi Hatte. It is about a villager who enrolls for Aadhaar first but must have his number altered because of a premonition regarding his wife. The movie pokes fun at the system and tackles the issue of class division in India. This one is a must-watch for you if you enjoyed movies like Peepli Live.
- Thar
The film stars Anil Kapoor, Fatima Sana Sheikh, and Harshvardhan Kapoor. Western cowboy movies serve as the inspiration for Raj Singh Chaudhary’s film. It centers on a seasoned police officer who sees an opportunity to succeed by solving a murder case in a peaceful desert hamlet. Despite having a cast with some recognition, this Bollywood film is probably the most underappreciated of 2022.
- 200 Halla Ho
Based on real events, 200 Halla Ho tells the tale of 200 Dalit women who take matters into their own hands and lynch a ruthless, cold-blooded criminal to exact revenge for the 15 years of crimes he committed against them. Amol Palekar, a veteran actor, director, and producer in Bollywood, has made a comeback with this movie. Along with him, Barun Sobti, Rinku Rajguru, and Sahil Khattar also feature in the movie.
